Moon (2009)

Moon is a sci-fi drama/mystery/thriller about an astronaut named Sam Bell (played by Sam Rockwell) who works on the moon alone with his robot assistant for an energy company that helps diminish the earth's power problem. During his last days of a 3-year contract working on the moon, he suffered an accident outside the station that put him in a really bad condition. The other day, Sam was woken up in the infirmary by his robot assistant that said he had involved in an incident and suffered from memory loss. Being curious about what had happened, Sam went out of the station and encountered an injured astronaut... who looked exactly like himself.

That's where the mystery begins :D Surely I can't give you the synopsis about what happened next, because the rest will only be spoilers. FYI, the story is not about the cool or futuristic technology, but about the astronaut's searching for his identity. You might not be tempted to see this film by reading my synopsis above, but trust me, the story is original and engaging. No wonder this film reaches the rating of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.0 on IMDB. And yeah, Sam Rockwell is cool. I don't even remember he was the quirky Zaphod Beeblebrox from The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.

So, if you're looking for a good movie, I recommend this. And remember that it's "Moon" without "New" before it :P

Ninja Blade

Yes, I know. I've seen the review. Many say it's a mediocre game, but my boyfriend forced me into playing it anyway. Okay, it's actually I that volunteered to play it :P Honestly I'm not into hack and slash type of game, but Ninja Blade is really fun. There are a lot over-the-top cinematic scenes throughout the game. The early combos are not special, but it doesn't matter for me. Just slash, slash, slash! It's fun!

But there's one big problem. The game doesn't allow mid-mission save. It's not a problem if the mission is like in GTA where you can accomplish it in several minutes (I said "you", not me :D), but a mission in this game can take up about one hour, and it can be very tiring to know that you have to endure the battle without taking a break. Okay, it's just like what we did in the era of Sega, but I think autosave is created because the developers know that gamers nowadays usually have a life.

Anyways, my boyfriend is still playing it, and I have to admit that it's still fun. There was this time when he had to restart a mission all over again because there was power outage when he was fighting the boss. Maybe it's like what he said, the game is more fun to watch than to play.

Blogger Templates

This is the first time I search for third-party Blogger templates. Don't laugh. After all those years blogging with hosted Wordpress, I decided to try Blogger again. There are a lot of templates I can find, but I think so far the best and the most well-organized collection is in BTemplates. I found my current template there, and it is designed by Blog and Web. I like simple and clean design. It's interesting that most of the templates I choose to see is actually designed by them, so I think it's totally recommended. If you have a favorite site for Blogger template collection, feel free to suggest.

Hello World

Does anyone really read the first blog post?
